I'm starting this thread so that we can attempt to collect the wit and wisdom of past Med-Peds-knowledgeable SDN-ers. This is by no means complete; I searched back to 2005 and posted what I found; I will update as I get 'round to it, but feel free to jump in ahead of me.
Just starting off with general non-SDN web links 'til I figure out how to link to posts (gosh, what an SDN-neophyte...)
Useful Web links (Since I was at a school that does not have Med-Peds, I literally read everything I could get my hands on from all these sites - including program director association bulletins and the like. You may not need to be so geeky if you have solid in-house advising.)

- http://www.medpeds.org - the National MedPeds Residents Association homepage - this is the site to start with; it has numerous resources including a list of programs, list of programs that offer electives, fact sheets, pages giving overviews of Med-Peds, what to look for in a Med-Peds residency, etc, etc. It's not a pretty-looking site, but it's kept reasonably up to date and it's the best information repository around for Med-Peds.
- http://www.im.org/MPPDA Med-Peds Program Directors Association - papers and newsletters at this site let you get an inkling of what's going on in the collective brain of the program directors - I found it useful for sussing out what some of the upcoming issues of concern for Med-Peds programs are/where Med/Peds is going as a profession. They have an interesting 2007 Match synopsis document on there.
- http://http://www.aap.org/sections/med-peds/ - the AAP section on Med-Peds has an excellent brief overview of Med-Peds as a training program and profession in the "Medicine-Pediatrics 101" link.
