That's how long it actually is. FPMRS is a relatively new board-certified sub-specialty, and the topics tested at the resident level have a lot of overlap with gyn surgery and office gyn. The FPMRS prolog may expand in the future, but 50 questions is its full extent for now.
Prologs are usually available for free through ACOG membership. However, ACOG only makes the latest versions free for a limited period of time, after which you have to pay. There are usually older versions available through your residency program. With that said, reviewing prologs before getting to residency isn't necessary.
