Got accepted through the RDEP Program. I'm a Utah resident. See you guys in 2 years
Where in NM? I'm from Las Cruces.
Did Dr. Powell call you? Or did you get an email?
i've read the feedback etc. and have gotten the impression that it is a very relaxed sort of situation, but if anyone would like to say anything else on the matter, i'd be all ears!
thanks. hopefully i'll be seeing you in august!
Hello, I am inquiring to those of you in this thread because you have obviously been accepted. With that said, does anyone feel that I would have a chance at being accepted at Creighton considering that they only just recently received my AADSAS and supplementary application?
I have very good DAT scores, and not that it necessarily matters, just finished my PhD.
Any thoughts?
Thank you in advance, and congratulations to all those accepted!
I just called Creighton today asking when the second round of acceptances were going to be sent, and I was told that class is full!!!! So there won't be a second round
does anyone else think the contracts with certain states is unfair to better candidates who are denied?
Does anyone else think the contracts with certain states is unfair to better candidates who are denied?[
I am doing the RDEP Program, and I don't think that it is unfair at all (obviously, because I am in it). Most states have state dental schools, but Utah, Idaho, and some of the others that they serve don't. Every school in the country takes people over those who are 'better candidates,' because the ones who got in interviewed better, or had something that the admissions committee liked. While DAT and GPA are great tools to reduce some of the thousands of applicants that each school receives, they are not the final decision making tools. Being a complete candidate is what gets you in. Plus, all of the RDEP guys that I know have 20+ DAT and 3.6+ GPA, so they are definitely qualified.

I agree with osity's comments completely. If you are one of those who think they are a "better candidate" maybe some humility might serve you well in your next interview/application cycle.

I'll be interviewing on March 25. I was wondering how many students from these post-Fall semester interviews get in?
Diane from Creighton did mentioned that the class is currently full. So I'm just assuming that these interviews are for an alternate list. I also know, that Creighton can accept applicants w/o interviews.
Hi, I actually received an interview for April 1st, as notified in mid-February. I saw someone else posted that he/she have an interview March 25. I was just wondering did you receive any feedback by now? Considering that you stated that there is no longer a second round, perhaps they decided otherwise later? Let me know. Thank you.
Hey does anyone know of the laptop requirements for school? I haven't found any information regarding laptops on the school website or in any of the papers I've received. Does Creighton require us to buy "their" laptop or do we just bring one of our own?
I second the Macbook pro. I'm just waiting until Apple offers their incentive this year. They usually offer a free Ipod touch (or something similar) with the purchase of a computer.
Agreed. I'm debating between the MacBook pro or MacBook air. Either way I'll wait for the free iPod this summer.
I heard they weren't doing the free ipod anymore, but that they're just doing a $100 discount? Do you guys know anything about that?
