Position Wanted IM resident PGYII in need of a spot/I keep searching -no luck

Dear SDN forum members,

I am an IM resident. I am looking for a vacant residency spot. I've been looking and emailing programs, so far I've had no luck. I really truly would appreciate any help or leads. I am a good resident, in good standing (all exams passed), good clinical skills, responsible, and love working in a team environement.

I truly would appreciate any help, leads, advise. I am scared but I keep pushing through. It feels very much alone as I am doing this on my own.
Any help, a kind word, or just a simple hello will help me tremendously in this difficult time.

I know what u r going through. There is always a program opening up pgy2. Dont worry, wt resources r u using to find pgy 2?

Hang in there, use network as much as possible, I used to use few websites, unmatchedmd.com ( has more frequent updates than) resident swap and Find a resident, reach out to IMGevent team on social media.

Sorry to hear that. Just need a little clarification, what happened to your program's PGY 2 spots? If your program is closed, I think funding is still there. And some programs will take this funding and add a spot.
